There was a time when I was okay with the volunteer work. But now we are being taken advantage of. I had one kid tell me outright that he pulled the piece I had worked on for publication because he needed it for a job interview.

We have "writers" that constantly submit things I wouldn't even consider a first draft. I can think of 3 submissions in the last week where no less than 3 editors have worked on ONE piece as a collective and took DAYS to do it because the "writers" took their time responding to PNs or wanted to be argumentative.

And don't even get me started about the plaggers. It only takes one person to screw it up for everybody. Well taadaa. We're screwed. While we're busting our a$$es so the writers can make money it means we're working the queues and not writing to make our OWN money.
