You can substitute the word YouTube with Medium and say the exact same things. More people but less views.

I've noticed on YT for a while now that, like Medium, I can't find anything of any interest to me. I get videos that are several years old suggested to me. I don't care what someone posted eons ago. I want fresh content. When I click on recently uploaded even then some videos are weeks old. Is YTs algorithm trying to tell me that no one has posted any new content in weeks? I know there are new vids every single day and I can't help but wonder what I'm missing out on!
