You should do #vanlife on YT and see how many people have given up everything - jobs, homes, belongings, everything - and just said to hell with it and took off. The one that I remember seeing first was a DJ in Canada. Big career. Big condo. Nice ride. Quot the job, sold everything, and bought a used van. He didn't even Instagram it up. He just threw his clothes and a cooler in the back along with his dog and rolled out.
Many of us are burned out on the human race and its never ending stupidity. We'd rather be lake side and chillin' by a fire. :-)
And nothing says you can't go into town. Laundry has to be done. Car has to be cleaned. Supplies replenished. Movies to go see. Gyms to go work out in. It can be as normal or as off beat as you want it to be. That's the beauty of it.
Once you walk away from the rat race and the materialism, you can literally do whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever you want.
